babygodzilla Posted April 13, 2007 Share Posted April 13, 2007 hi guys. i've been doing research about imitating the Google Homepage and so far I haven't figured out how Google saves a user's widget positions. im assuming it's saved server side since you can move around your widgets and save it on one computer and open it again on another computer with the same positions. any ideas how this is done? thanks! veridicus Posted April 13, 2007 Share Posted April 13, 2007 My guess is they make an ajax request that sends a message to the server with the new position.
