php help with an asterix

I am hoping you all knowing php folks can help me out, i have been running a script in a cron job for about a year now.. It had no problems until about 2 weeks ago, when it stopped working. the code was this

#!/bin/sh
/usr/local/lib/php -q /www/v/voodoosdumpc/htdocs/tdm_stats/mohstats.php /www/v/voodoosdumpc/htdocs/tdm_stats/*.log

it used to parse all the log files as long as they ended in .log

for some reason, php no longer recognizes the * as meaning all files.. it thinks there is a file named *.log instead all the files ending in .log

any help is greatly appreciated
