Mr. R
What i am trying to do is include some variables from my config.php file and use them in my CSS file. config.php <?php $text_colour = ""; $text_font = "comic sans ms"; $background_colour = "#FF0000"; $border_colour = "#4e4e4e"; $background_colour_comments = ""; $guestbook_title = ""; $guestbook_title_colour = ""; ?> style.css <?php header('content-type:text/css'); include('config.php'); ?> body { color: <?php print $background_colour;?>; } p.solid { border-style: solid; color: <?php print $border_colour;?>; border-width: 2px; width: 40%; text-align: center; font-family: <?php print $text_font;?>; } Then in my index.php file i have put <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN""http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html> <head> <title>Guestbook</title> <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="style.css" /> <script type="text/javascript" src=""></script> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1" /> </head> <body> <?php echo "<p class='solid'>Hello</p>"; ?> </body> </html> This shows a box with a black border that is 2px thick and is 40% wide and the text is aligned in the middle, but the border colour and background colour is the wrong and the font is wrong. Can someone help please? Thanks Max Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/48118-solved-including-to-css/ Share on other sites

MadTechie
i think change color: <?php print $background_colour;?>; to background-color: <?php print $background_colour;?>; for the background i think color:<?php print $text_colour;?>; for the text colour thats more of a CSS issule!
