if WAMP means Windows, Apache, Mysql, PHP then its down to personal preference, Apache is the same no matter what OS you use, along with MySQL and PHP,

 

If you are exposing your PC/Server directly to the internet then use LAMP - Linux is much harder to hack than Windoze, if not then use WAMP as it is much easier to set up.

 

What dist of Linux are you planning to use? Ubuntu?
