jamesdk
I am trying to insert info into a MySQL database. Currently everything is set up to allow me to insert the title of each document which the system then assigns a number to. The information is then inserted into a variety of fields. This all works beautifully. However, I sometimes need to insert the same information into the database up to 20 times -- the only thing that I change is the title. Is there a way to simply change the title and have it save again under that name without overwriting the previous entry? I would appreciate any assistance anyone can provide. Thank you. taith
just set an autoincreasing row... then you can mysql_query("UPDATE `table` SET `name`='whatever' WHERE `id`='$id' LIMIT 1");
jamesdk
Thank you for this. I wonder if you can tell me in which page this entry would go?
taith
a) not without seeing your code b) did you add the autoincreasing row to your mysql table yet?
jamesdk
Would you be interested in doing this for me if I sent you all the files? If you take Paypal, I could pay you right away. I'm not as familiar with all of this as I thought I was and have an urgent deadline to have this flexibility as we are manually loading entries into a drug database that requires the public to be able to find information based on the generic name but also many, many brand names. I need to simplify the process.
