simon551
hi. total noober here. this may seem like a really dumb question, but I can't figure out how to "download" the prototype library. I'm trying to do an ajax tutorial that requires it and I went to the site to download, hit download and it opens a website with a lot of script. I can't seem to find any directions. Am I just supposed to copy and paste into a js page. Thanks in advance.
mainewoods
you should be able to download prototype here: http://www.prototypejs.org/download you download it to your computer, then you upload it to your website. you then put a tag like this in the head section of the web page you want to use it in: <script src="http://yourwebsite.com/somelib/prototype.js" type="text/javascript"></script> that specifies the directory on your web site you uploaded it to. You can then use the functions inplemented in prototype in that web page. Include the tag above in every web page you want to use prototype in.
