gregtel
Hello everyone, i was wondering if anyone could help me out, im trying to set up apache on machine A (which is also connected to a cable modem) so i can dial up from machine Bs modem to machine As modem which is 100 miles away, establish a connection between 2 modems, and then have apache on machine A be a web server so i can surf the web on machine B. this sort of connection is my only option for internet connection for machine B, i have a decent but limited understanding of networking and have been sitting in front of appache all of about one hour. any help on how to set up this network would be greatly appreciated, thanks everyone
the_oliver
Mashine B would not be able to access the internet through apache. Thats not apache job. It would only be able to see sites hosted on the apache server. Do you meen dial-up or do you meen cable? Very diffrent.
