[SOLVED] select from two tables

I have a bunch of emails in one table from recent sales and a bunch in another table that joined a notification list without recent sales. Both tables do have some doubles and I want to make sure I don't email someone twice. So if I make a list I can see if there are any doubles and take them out, is there a way I can do that? Thanks
