PHP files try to download instead of execute.

Recommended Posts

In 2003, I set up my computer with a Sambar server, PHP, and mysql so that I could develop websites locally without the need for internet access. Everything worked great. I did not use the computer for about three years, and now I am trying to develop a new website. I have not changed anything that I am aware of, but every time I try to execute a php file, Windows asks if I want to run or save the file. If I select run, Notepad opens with the php file. The only change that I made to the computer was that I previously had a cable connection using AOL as my ISP. Now I am still running a cable connection, but Road Runner is my ISP. That may have nothing to do with it, but it is the only change I have made to my computer. (Except maybe some Windows updates. Could that have changed something?) Help! I'm stumped.
