[SOLVED] I have a simple question.....how to make a message appear in red

I have this working buut it appears black on my logon page.  Can any body tell me how to have this error message appear in red.....

 

//redirect back to login form if not authorized

$_SESSION['error'] = "invalid username and/or password combination";

 

I don't know the exact html code to do that to work with php.

 

here is the code on the logon page....

<?php print ($_SESSION['error']);	
?>

or better yet, use css....if you want to display text as an error, you can use <span> or use <p> with class="errorText" or whatever...in your css, set the color: attribute to a shade of red.  And whenever you want to change the shade of red later on, or even disable the color change altogether, go into your css file and change it.
