jmargolis
Hey guys, I'm new to this whole AJAX thing, and I'm trying to figure out a very very simple thing. I assume it's simple, because I've seen far more complex things before. I'd really appreciate your help . Oke, so my website is, http://www.jacobmargolis.com, and as you can see I'm keeping it unbelievably simple looking. What I want to happen, and what I've been trying to figure out, is that, if you lets say, click on photography, my photos fade into the space on the right (I'm building my website for the resolution 1024x728). Then you click on the images and lightbox works its magic. Then, if you click on photo essays, I was wondering if you could display quicktime, or flash movies in a lightbox sort of way? And then.... if you click on about, or contact, the photos or whatever fade out and the text thats needed comes up in the middle of the page. All simple, clean, and hopefully sexy. I'd like all of this to happen without having to actually reload the webpage. That's the point of ajax... right. I don't know shit about shit when it comes to javascript (although I'm now trying to learn). I know css + xhtml. I wouldn't mind using scriptaculous or any of those packages, but I also don't know how to use those... so, yeah. I'm the ultimate n00b I guess when it comes to this sort of thing. Any help would be wonderful. Thanks guys! Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/51194-different-type-of-menu/ Share on other sites
