86Stang
In my database each record consists of the following columns: cat_num cat_name sub_cat I would like to somehow display this as follows: sub_cat - cat_name - cat_name - cat_name sub_cat - cat_name - cat_name - cat_name sub_cat - cat_name - cat_name - cat_name ...and so on. All I can come up with is: sub_cat | cat_name sub_cat | cat_name sub_cat | cat_name sub_cat | cat_name Basically I only want to list the sub_cat once and show all records associated with it underneath it. I'm sure it's straight-forward but my novice rump just isn't seeing the light. georg
Maybe you should move to Nested Sets.. I think, they are much simpler, you can read the whole tree with one query...
