Virtuality
I've done it before, but is there a guide? I need to know the ports etc. Also, my router automatically assigns IP addresses eg 192.168.1.5 (keeps xxx.xxx.xxx.1 for itself), how do I make it grant this server a fixed IP address? apacheguy
I'm sure there is a guide if look on the support section of your router manufacturer's site. It should be straight forward though if you know the following: 1. How to logon to the router 2. The port # you need to be opened 3. The ip address of the machine (server) The answer to your second question now: If you look in the DHCP section of router, there should be a place to assign static ip addresses. Mine does it by MAC address.
