secure headers over fsockopen

Hi, I am doing some form emulation from my website to a third party website.

 

I have to send a username and password to the 3rd party login using fsockopen. The 3rd party may not necessarily be secure (though in some cases it is), and when it is I am using my http class to connect using ssl.

 

In the cases where it is not secure, I still would like to encrypt the information (perhaps using ssl or some other means) however I am not entirely sure whether this is possible. I can't encrypt using some 2 way hash as it needs to be plain when it reaches the 3rd party.

 

Any info would be appreciated.

It's more of a question about whether it is possible or not, as my class handles all the stuff I require-- I *can* connect to https (using ssl) etc, so that is not a problem.

 

So, for example, there is a third party login using an https server. I can authenticate to this using my http class, which presumably means that everything going over the link is encrypted. My question is what happens if I am connecting to a regular http server, is there a way to encrypt the transferral of information from my site to theirs?

 

At the same time however, if they are not providing a secure service to login with, then does it matter that mine is going unencrypted?

Well since the server is not on HTTPS you really can't make it any more secure than someone using a browser.
