Need help with Weblog_Pinger class

I've been using this Weblog_Pinger class on my blog for some time, but I am not sure how to make it tell me whether it worked or not.  This is the class:

The info says it returns true on success and false on failure, but how do I get it to print that result right on the page when I ping?
