A user of the Admin module got this error message while trying to upload an image:

[err_debug] - Warning triggered by PHP

getimagesize () [<a href='function.getimagesize'>function.getimagesize</a>]: open_basedir restriction in effect. File(tmp/phpQeg9nP) is not within the allowed path(s): (/www.mysite.com/)

In '(/www.mysite.com/admin.mysite.com/php/lib/upload.functions.php' on line 169

Can someone please tell me where I should reset the permission? Thanks.

Not necessarily a permission problem but more of a server base problem, the folder/file you are trying to save/delete/manipulate to or with does not exist. Was this code copied from another server? Try doing a search on google for "open_basedir" and you should find a few other solutions.

um.. I have no idea.. I've never used zend before. Try looking up zend and see what you get. Might be a simple program you can download to decode it..

If the php you're using is a ready madfe download that you're implementing there's probably somehwere where you can change settings of some sort.. perhaps in a configure.php or similar named file?

Maybe you've set the image directory wrong or something.. just a wild guess

A follow-up on the post:

It turned out that the hosting company made some changes to the configuration that prevented us from uploading anything to our directory. Changing the codes wouldn't have changed anything since no new posts are allowed. We've asked the hosting company to correct the configuration.

Thanks for your support.
