laoloup
A user of the Admin module got this error message while trying to upload an image: [err_debug] - Warning triggered by PHP getimagesize () [<a href='function.getimagesize'>function.getimagesize</a>]: open_basedir restriction in effect. File(tmp/phpQeg9nP) is not within the allowed path(s): (/www.mysite.com/) In '(/www.mysite.com/admin.mysite.com/php/lib/upload.functions.php' on line 169 Can someone please tell me where I should reset the permission? Thanks. Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/53864-permission-issue/ Share on other sites
Dragen
what's on line 169? you're trying to link to or include a file using an invalid directory path. Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/53864-permission-issue/#findComment-266282 Share on other sites
TreeNode
Not necessarily a permission problem but more of a server base problem, the folder/file you are trying to save/delete/manipulate to or with does not exist. Was this code copied from another server? Try doing a search on google for "open_basedir" and you should find a few other solutions. Dragen
File(tmp/phpQeg9nP) is not within the allowed path(s): (/www.mysite.com/) doesn't mean it doesn't exist. It means that the directory you're aiming at isn't allowed.. such as if it points below the root directory Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/53864-permission-issue/#findComment-266335 Share on other sites
laoloup
Thanks for the responses. When I tried to look at the upload.functions.php file, I found that it's encoded with Zend. Is it possible to decode it using Zend? Or else I have no way to know what's written there on line 169. Thanks again guys. Dragen
um.. I have no idea.. I've never used zend before. Try looking up zend and see what you get. Might be a simple program you can download to decode it.. If the php you're using is a ready madfe download that you're implementing there's probably somehwere where you can change settings of some sort.. perhaps in a configure.php or similar named file? Maybe you've set the image directory wrong or something.. just a wild guess Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/53864-permission-issue/#findComment-266834 Share on other sites
laoloup
A follow-up on the post: It turned out that the hosting company made some changes to the configuration that prevented us from uploading anything to our directory. Changing the codes wouldn't have changed anything since no new posts are allowed. We've asked the hosting company to correct the configuration. Thanks for your support.
