Would that not depend on the server where your website is hosted?

 

I don't think that I as a visitor would experience any increase in my cpu usage since php is a server side language. It would be useful to know what type of server your hosting on, speed, memory etc. But I think there are not that many web hosts that run on low grade machines.

 

The server will do all calculations before I receive the results in my browser but it might take a little longer to process compared to static text (but 3k is not that heavy I think).

 

Keep in mind that what I wrote is what I believe to be true and I'm not an expert, so I might be wrong :)
