onthe949
Greetings, everyone! I'm not sure if this is the right thread...I really need some help regarding webware licensing. I've created a web app for FedEx, and they want to meet with me to talk about implementing it for their internal services. I completed the app from scratch with PHP/MySQL/AJAX, and I even created my very own AJAX framework that utilizes new methods of implementing AJAX that I haven't seen before. I'm not sure whether they want to buy the app from me or hire me as an onsite developer. My experience with web design and development has always been based around public websites for clients, so I'm not sure what my best option would be. I need help deciding how I should handle this. If I license the app, I believe that I would retain ownership and have the ability to resale similar versions of the app to various companies. If I'm hired, I'd have job security, but I believe that I would lose my rights to the script as well as the new AJAX framework. Can somebody please point me in the right direction?
