I'm trying to get the zfeeder program from http://zvonnews.sourceforge.net/ to work and keep getting the error message on the admin.php at login.

I"m getting really frustrated because my trouble shooting skills are not very good. I did find an error near line 18 where it said

"echo  "Password: <input type=\"password\" name=\"admin_pass\">

I think it should read type=\"text\"

but when I try that it doesn't work and gives the same error.

I could really use some help with this because I have used the program before and I'm really needing it now again. I changed web providers and it won't transfer over.

I'm sure anyone that tries downloading and using this will get the same error because I haven't changed anything in the upload files that would matter.

thanks

I think I have the problem solved. After loading the old program I could enter it. It came with a new changeconfig file and a new zfunctions file that I wanted to add. Whenever I went into the change configuration setting either with the old files or the new ones installed the same thing would happen. The program would no longer work after saving the changes. This was simple stuff like change password. It didn't matter what changes I would make. I was working directly off the program menu and not the code.

Printing out the files and studying the code to see what was happening I discovered that both the old and new changeconfig files needed all the values defined. The original config file came with default values in most of the selections. As soon as I submitted the new changes the program rewrote the config file destroying all of the default values and leaving the  program useless.

I believe the solution is to fill in all the default code values into the new changeconfig file to be the same as the original config file so it will load with those values installed. Then operate the menu and make the desired changes and save. That should work.

cheers! :D
