php array from db

hi!

 

I am trying to get arrays set during a database while syntax:

 

eg:

$june=array();

 

while ($row = mysql_fetch_array($result, MYSQL_ASSOC)) {

 

        if($row['month']=="June"){

$june[]=$row['title'];

}

}

 

but nothing

 

Any one got a good eg. will be running all twelve months ect

$month = array();
$i = 0;

while ($row = mysql_fetch_array($result)) 
{ 
        $month[$i] = $row['month'];
        $i++;
}

foreach ($month as $value)
{
        echo $value;
}

Your code itself looks fine to me, paste more please so we can see the query!

Chigley, seems after an hour break and some tv I went back to it after reading your reply and retry'd it and tweaked a thing or two and it seemed to work for now.:-)

 

So, as I will be having 12 of the following :

$january=array();
$february=array();
......etc 

if($row['news_month']=="January"){
      $january[]=$row['news_title'];
      }


if($row['news_month']=="February"){
      $february[]=$row['news_title'];
      }

etc etc

 

would there be an easier way to construct this.
