CA3LE
Hi everyone, I was hoping you would be kind enough to break something down for me since you are well versed with php. In short, I need to find a way to manage all my outgoing affiliate links from one spot. Since I am not familiar with databases, I have been using a simple meta refresh which enables me to change an affiliate link across the board from one spot. However, the search engines are still indexing my exit folder even after disallowing it in the robots.txt file, so I have been trying to learn about php includes and am getting even more confused. I am not very savvy at all with this technical stuff, and was really hoping you would be kind enough to point me in the right direction on what method to research online. Basically, what method without having to set up a database would be the easiest for me to use being the novice webmaster that I am. Thanks in advance Perhaps I should be looking at hotscripts.com to find a solution, I just don't know and am getting really frustrated. CA3LE
Hi teng, I am just looking for the best solution for managing my outgoing links without having to use a database. Right now I am using a meta refresh redirect, but I don't think that is the best way to do it. My goal is to have it set up where I can change links sitewide in one place, which I can do with my current system. However google still indexes my exit folder, and I want to do it the right way. So basically if you were me and did not know anything about databases, how would you set up your affiliate links so you could change them sitewide? I tried reading about php inclusions but got confused. hxxp://www.casinoblast.net, you will see how I have them set up right now if you hover over the links. Apart from doing a meta refresh, which way would you advise to redirect my visitors to the respective gambling site. And how hard would it be to implement. Sorry if I am not articulating this correctly. It's hard for me to talk about things I don't understand.
