I am using php to write inputs I receive from browser into a text file.Than I use shell_exec() to execute a program on server that writes those inputs from the text file and write its output to another text file. Now after my program has written its output I want to read this text file from php and send it back to the browser.

Can someone please guide me how I can do this.

Thanks

could use get_file_contents that the easy way or use the fopen statement >>>

http://uk3.php.net/fopen

<?php

$view=file_get_contents("http//www.what_ever.php/what_ever.txt");
echo $view;

?>

get it all in an array to sort  data out

<?php

$view=file_get_contents("http//www.what_ever.php/what_ever.txt");

$view2=explode(' ',$view);

//echo what ever array needed example first array, array always start from 0
// unless otherwise altered.

$view3=$view2[0];

$result=implode(' ',$view3);

echo $result;

?>
