timmah1
Hello, I'm not sure if there is one out there, or if I'm posting in the right place. I already have a member system in place for a football pick 'em contest, but I want to get a forum for the site as well, but I want to be able to use the same database and everything that I already have, that way, the members only have to register once. Is there anything out there already that will work? Or will I have to write a complete forum? Any direction you can lead me in would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance
cooldude832
no fourmn is going to integrate to your users table sorry, but if you have onyl a few users you can probably manually install them into phpBB or just do phpBB because its the best fourmn around
per1os
I disagree with phpbb being the best forum, it certainly is the cheapest. I liked vBB a ton better than I ever liked phpBB.
timmah1
I was going to use phpBB, but how would I protect my pages I already have? How does phpBB pass along user info? right now I have an include file called 'protect'. I'd just use phpBB's register and login pages for what I already have, but I'm not sure how phpBB stores everything
marcus
If phpBB was the best forum around wouldn't you think it would be being used on these forums? SMF or YaBB are the best [iMO]
