I need to help with this, I have a small problem with mysql query  ???

 

$query="UPDATE something SET whatever='$rater_rating."|".$rater_ip.$rater_end_of_line_char'  WHERE id='$id'";

You have a small problem with your syntax

$query="UPDATE something SET whatever='$rater_rating" . "|" . "$rater_ip" . "$rater_end_of_line_char'  WHERE id='$id'"; 
?>

 

Probably not the cleanest but should work.

It's better but the problem is it inserts just this part to the mysql database '$rater_rating" everything behind that " is ignored.

$query="UPDATE something SET whatever='$rater_info'  WHERE id='$id'"; 

 

Give that a go.
