Delete file contents

Can someone post some code to show me how to delete a file from a folder please? I need to delete a file first, and then upload something in it's place. Maybe a bit of code to slide in what i have already would work?

Hi,

 

you can use following php function to delete a file :

 

unlink($filename);

 

and if u want to delete and file from specific location then :

 

unlink($filepath . $filename);
