Hi - this is a bit of a long shot but i'm looking for some help on configuring MAMP to run on an office MAC server. At the moment, I've installed and ran it locally on a laptop with no problems using localhost etc. I now want to run MAMP on the shared server so that all future PHP scripts can be stored here. I've copied all of the MAMP files over to the server but when I try to load any .php pages, the php code is all that is displayed in the browser. When installing MAMP, there are instructions that the package must be copied into the applications folder on the local hard drive. I'm assuming that this is where the problem will lie, in that there is no applications folder on the shared server to install the package into. Any ideas on how to solve this problem? Perhaps individually downloading the components of MAMP instead of using the package? I'm pretty new to PHP/MySQL and also to Macs as well so any help would be greatly appreciated!
