HowdeeDoodee
I am getting wildly different access times using the same query in phpMyAdmin as well as within my php scripts. The more I run the same query, the faster the access time. What does this mean, if anything? I have indexes on a number of fields. Do I need to reindex tables to speed up the access times? If I need to reindex, how do I do reindex? What is the code or syntax for reindexing? Thank you in advance for any replies. Illusion
when u run a query the returned records will be in a cache which is a logical storage system so when u run the same query, all ready cached records will be returned so the response time will be less. I think for re-indexing u can use >optimize table <table name>; Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/59438-solved-indexing-or-reindexing-tables/#findComment-295351 Share on other sites
