Reg MySQL Backup in .txt file

Hi friends,

I want to take a backup of my Mysql table.Is there a method to do it.If so please help me.

mysqldump [db_name] >backup.txt

 

will back up your entire database from the command line.

 

if you want to do it with a query, you can use

SELECT * INTO OUTFILE "/foo/backup.txt" FROM my_table

 

you can control how the fields are delimited etc.:
