[SOLVED] Creating a Plugin System - Need some professional help.

Ok, I'm writing this CMS system from scratch and this dude wants some type of tool system where he makes plugins basically (math plugins for school stuff) so his friends and stuff can teach each other.

 

So I'm wondering how would I go about making a plugin system can someone give me a good theory of how it would work and I think I could manage off doing it.

 

Example of what I want the script to look like:

        function activate_plugin()
        {
              //plugin script goes here
        }
        function deactivate_plugin()
        {
              //disables the script, i guess using sql?
        }
?>

 

Please help me get an idea of how this would work. If you have to(think about how WordPress has its plugins cept, simpler)
