what you is your opinion about flex

Hello every one,

several times now whenever I serving the web I crash into some adobe flex web sites so I went to adobe to know more about this product and I found that the UI built with flex is very pretty using flash effects and it has a good set of controls

 

The next logical step is to see how flex 2.0 handle the data and I found it a little complex than php and look like asp.net and XML combined together (in my personal opinion)

I also found that it is possible to use php and flex together

I am very confused about using this new development technology and I need every one opinion in flex specially from the people who use it.
