Aculo Drap drop 5 test question

I am trying to do some work with the library at script.aculo.us.  However, in dropdrop5 test (in the functional directory), when I drag the M icon, I just get an alert when I drop it in the red boxes. 

 

I do not believe this is normal.  For somebody out there who uses this, what is the test actually supposed to do?  Any help would be appreciated.
