login script

Hi

Can anyone point me in the right direction please

what my goal is :

1. to write a login script and once the user as logged in to display there name .

2. to assign different information to different users upon login


example .


lets say mike logs in it will display mikes name at the top and then display a message to him one i have set in lets say in my admin panel that i created for just mike

and lets say paul logs in it will display pauls name at the top then display a different message for him

these messages i would like to set against a user in a administartion pannel

You might want to read through the [a href=\"http://www.phpfreaks.com/tutorials/65/0.php\" target=\"_blank\"]Membership[/a] tutorial over at the main site of phpfreaks.com in the tutorial section which you can go to by clicking ther link I have posted.

That tutorial wont give you all the info you need to do your system but it;ll provide the basics of creating a membership system which will be the basis of your script that you are planning one doing.
