help, making upload progress bar (no good result in search)

Hello,

In the previous couple of days I searched the form to make a real time progress bar while file uploading, but none of them work and other solve the problem without mention any thing about the script used, so here I am asking again how to do it ?

 

I know theoretically it can be done by watching the temp file size while it is uploaded with the use of some ajax , I need help on the script please

 

I dont know also if this belong to php or javascript !

This can't be done in php since php won't show the file details while it's being uploaded (only after it's uploaded). There was a Perl and PHP solution I found a while back.

I know php cant do that until ver 5.2 which able to do that with an extension called apc and my host company did not allow using this extension for security reasons (as usual duh!)

 

megaupload: I know about this one I tried the online demo and it did not work any way I will upload it to my host and try it may be their servers has a problem
