fazzfarrell
I have a database set up with 'Areas' such as Birmingham, london, Bristol etc. We have a search page with a drop down with the vales of Birmingham, london etc wich works fine and picks up the relevant data. What we also want to do is have a label of 'All' so that it will pick all the areas, what shuld the value be? HuggieBear
Sure, call it what you like. Just make sure you map the value in php with something like this (Using 'All' as my value): <?php $sql = "SELECT * FROM table_name"; if ($_POST['dropdown'] != "All"){ $sql .= " WHERE area = '" . $_POST['dropdown'] . "'"; } ?> Regards Huggie Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/64098-searching-database/#findComment-319448 Share on other sites
