Hello all.  First post and I am sure there will lots more to follow.

There are 2 RSS feeds I would like to add to the main index of my site.  One is from my forums and one is from the National Geographic News site.  The problem I have is my forum creates a list of the last 5 topics and posts.  I would like to limit that to just the topics.  I use "myBB".  Now perhaps nobody will be able to help me with that one but how about the National Geographic News.  The RSS feed list a topic and about 3 lines form the article with a link to the full article.  Is there an easy way to set up a spot on my index that will take a random topic and lines and place it on my site.  Let me try to break this down to make it easier to understand.

National Geographic News has a page with say 10 things on it.  Each "thing" is a title from an article and about 3 lines from the article and a link to the full article.  I would like to take a random "thing" from that rss feed and place it on my index.

Man I did not think this was going to be so hard to explain, or perhaps I am just too tired.  Thank you in advance to anyone that can help.

Oh and if you need to see my site then just check my profile, I think I read somewhere that you could not post links.
