cmogle Posted August 19, 2007 Share Posted August 19, 2007 Hi All, I am a complete newbie to php and flash and have recently purchased a flash web site template with a php contact file. The form works when someone enters in their email address into the form, but if they only enter a phone number it does not. Can you help? Is this a problem with the php or does it sound like the flash? I greatly appreciate any help. Here is the contact.php code and I can post the fla action if needed. <?php Error_Reporting(E_ALL & ~E_NOTICE); while ($request = current($_REQUEST)) { if (key($_REQUEST)!='recipient') { $pre_array=split ("&777&", $request); $post_vars[key($_REQUEST)][0]=preg_replace ("/<[^>]*>/", "", $pre_array[0]); $post_vars[key($_REQUEST)][1]=preg_replace ("/<[^>]*>/", "", $pre_array[1]); } next($_REQUEST); } reset($post_vars); $subject="From ".$post_vars['your_name'][0] ; $headers= "From: ".$post_vars['your_email'][0] ."\n"; $headers.='Content-type: text/html; charset=iso-8859-1'; $message=''; while ($mess = current($post_vars)) { if ((key($post_vars)!="i") && (key($post_vars)!="your_email") && (key($post_vars)!="your_name")) { $message.="<strong>".$mess[1]."</strong> ".$mess[0]."<br>"; } next($post_vars); } mail($_REQUEST['recipient'], $subject, " <html> <head> <title>Contact Letter</title> </head> <body> <br> ".$message." </body> </html>" , $headers); echo ("Your message was successfully sent!"); ?> <script> resizeTo(300, 300); </script> Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/65655-contact-form-doesnt-work-without-entering-an-email/ Share on other sites More sharing options...
phpQuestioner Posted August 19, 2007 Share Posted August 19, 2007 most designer require that a contact form have a valid email address, so that you "the owner" of the contact form; will be able to reply to the person who sent you the email. that seems to be the case here........ cmogle Posted August 19, 2007 Author Share Posted August 19, 2007 Thanks for the reply. I do not want to require an email address to be entered in this case. Do you see any issues with this code?
