stevesimo
Hi, I have a date object which I want to get the timestamp for. The date is 24/8/2007 18:30:00 I simply want to determine what the timestamp is for this date and time so that I can compare it against the current timestamp. The problem is that the timestamp is for the current time, not the date and time that I have specified. Here is my code: $mydate = date("d-m-Y : H:i:s", mktime(18, 30, 0, 8, 24, 2007)); $datestamp = time($mydate); echo 'My date: '.$mydate.' - Date stamp: '.$datestamp; Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong? Thanks, Steve
GingerRobot
The time() function doesn't accept any parameters. You just ned to change the format you are using for your date function: $mydate = date("U", mktime(18, 30, 0, 8, 24, 2007));
