cooldude832
I use notepad ++ for writing my docs, but i hate having to manually upload via copy paste using windows ftp (i'm on a windows machine so changing that isn't an option) anyone have any ideas of a program that can detect when a file has changed and auto ftp it on change? Or a good text edtior combining this for the price of free? Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/66797-good-php-ftp-uploader/ Share on other sites
pocobueno1388
I use PSPad, it works great for me. All you have to do is press CTRL+s and it will automatically upload it for you. http://www.pspad.com/en/ Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/66797-good-php-ftp-uploader/#findComment-334707 Share on other sites

lightningstrike
I use SmartFTP. You can use a Remote Edit feature which automatically uploads file on change. pocobueno1388
also how do i turn on line numebrs? Go to View -> line numbers There is also shortcut button to the right side of the screen where you can toggle it on/off. It is right to the left of the spell check and the picture of the lock. Nevermind, looks like you found it as I was typing this. xD -------------------------------------- Also, the only way it will save it to the FTP using CTRL+s, is if you double click the file in the list, rather than opening it from your computer. tibberous
If by free you mean $100, UEStudio can open files directly on the site without ftp'ing (I mean, it ftp's, but you don't see it). Nice little IDE too. I didn't like the look of it at first by my friend uses it so I gave it a chance -- it really grows on you.
