mail() to hotmail works, but not all the time.. need sleep() ?

??? hello,

i've been tying to send lots of email to my website users (500+)

my php code works fine for yahoo and hotmail (INBOX)

however, that is the case for 4-5 emails.

 

but when i tried to send out big lot, 500 emails, at a time.

some users claimed that they didnt receive the email?

the mail got put into the junk instead of inbox.

why? is this b.c i send out too much for one time?

 

is there any detour for this to works all the time?

i;ve heard that while delaying [ sleep() ] the send mail process.

i don't know how long b/w each process.

hotmail might not catch those email into the spam box.

 

my question is, how long should i delay b.w email?

half a sec? a sec? should i randomly choose the duartion?

 

is there any other method?

mailing list?

 

any suggestion would b appreiate.
