tibberous
I am trying to use pcntl_fork() to make a command line daemon. Basically, I want a script that runs all the time. It needs to call one page every hour. It also needs to call X amount of pages, Y minutes after the last one has finished - where X and Y are user settings. See, the second set of pages it is calling are uploads. So, for example, it could have 3 uploaders running continuously with a 5 minute wait between each. The uploader scripts pull from a queue, and the first script periodically adds new items to the queue. What is making all this really hard is that I can't get this to run on Windows, meaning that testing is really hard. Anyone have a basic idea how to structure this? Thanks.
