Hey all,

I need to make a web application to connect to a specified server (security of the login isnt needed and there will just be 1 user) and then get data from it. The data will be images saved from a webcam as well as about 8 fields of data and will have to be reloaded/displayed continuously (every second or so).

My question is..... should I use PHP and a MySQL database for this? I have very basic experience in PHP but have been coding in Flash (actionscript) and C for 8 years. My initial idea was to use Flash since I know it so well but I wasnt sure if it would be easier to keep loading a file in PHP.

I appreciate any insight into this.

thanks
