SirChick
I have an update query which updates a number of fields... but it says i have a syntax issue.. ive not done one of these before so Im not sure what the syntax error is exactly.. could some one highlight my mistake please ? : $boughthouse = "UPDATE houses SET CityID = '$CityID', HouseType = '$HouseType', Price = '$HousePrice', StreetName = '$StreetName', Area = '$Area', TotalRooms = '$NumberOfRooms', Owned = '1' WHERE UserID='{$_SESSION['Current_User']}'"; mysql_query($boughthouse) or die(mysql_error());
recklessgeneral
Hi, Just wondering if it was the WHERE clause that was causing the problem. The value for UserID is enclosed in single quotesm and so is Current_User - maybe thats causing the parser confusion. Try breaking the value out of the quoted string: $boughthouse = "UPDATE ...... WHERE UserID='" . $_SESSION['Current_User'] . "'"; Cheers, Darren.
