bre
I have some php scripts that work on old server but need changes to work on new server. I use hosting and have VPS servers on both. The script I pass variables to doesn't see them unless I use; $form_name = $_POST["form_name"] I didn't have to do that on old server. Anyone know why I need it now everytime I pass variables to another script? I'm a novice at php scripting. pocobueno1388
On your other server they probably had magic_quotes_gpc off. This means that you don't have to define your post/get data with $_POST or $_GET. On your new server they have them on, meaning you do have to define them like you are. In my opinion it is better to have to define them, that way you know exactly where the data is coming from.
