To write php code to zipped a folder mail to user

Ciao all,

I am a beginner of Php programmer

currently i need to develop a report generator to mail the web report (with image file)to user

I need to download my daily report  into a folder

 

now my concern is how to zip my folder and send mail to my user

and php function provide the zipped folder (or save folder a .zip)  ???
