sccottt
Anyone know how to hide your own URL on an outgoing link from those who have web stats and can see where their hits are coming from? I want to mask the url referrer info. Any ideas? Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/68945-solved-mask-referrer-on-an-outgoing-link/ Share on other sites

sccottt
Not really what i'm looking for. Sorry, I think I explained it poorly. When I look at the stats on my webspace, I can see who is linking to me. I want to link to other sites, but I don't want my website address to appear on their stats pages. Is this making sense? kireol
yes, you are. and like i said, try using tiny The web site that you link to should see the tiny website as the refferal, not yours. sccottt
ah, i see - you're saying to use the tiny urls for every outgoing link. that is an idea. i was hoping for a more dynamic option. i've found (since posting) that an http redirect maybe seems to remove the referrer: <meta http-equiv='refresh' content='0;url=whatever.com> i've got a couple things to go on now, thanks Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/68945-solved-mask-referrer-on-an-outgoing-link/#findComment-346580 Share on other sites
