netpants
This is what I want to do... I want people to be able to click on a link that will bring them to an external site, and if they hit the Back button in the browser it will bring them to a different site not the one they were previously on. So lets say someone clicks on a sponsor link in my site, and then they hit the back button, it will bring them to a Thank you for visiting my sponsor page, and then it will automaticly redirect to the main page or somthing. Thanks for your ideas. Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/69239-back-button-help/ Share on other sites
GingerRobot
Well, i could be wrong, but im not sure this is possible. As far as im aware, clicking the back button would retrieve the last page from the browser's cache, therefore there would be no opportunity for you to redirect them at any point. netpants
I thought there was a way though to tell the browser what the last page visited was with a script of sorts. I just cannot remember for the life of me what it was, I stumbled upon it while messing with a back button link on my site.
