will links for dynamic sessions affect search engine spiders?

Recommended Posts

I had to change some links within my site so sessions would work with both www and without

I changed the link from

http://www.site.com/destination

to

../destination

will the spiders follow this just like the original link?

I need advise on this one this is very important

thanks

Paul

in php, whenever you put ../directory, it outputs differently then "../directory" in html. go to the page that has the link, right click, and view source. it has the full url in it. "../" is just a php command for 'up one directory'

when I right click and view propertys it shows the full link

but when I click view source html it shows the ../link

this is why I am concerned that this might be what the spider is reading?

am I just nervouse for nothing?
