It obviously knows it will probably mess up at some point anyway! If so, your favourites will be stored in: C:\Documents and Settings\Your user here\Favorites (assuming its on the C drive anyway) As for removing - Start>Control Panel>Add or Remove Programs - you should find IE 7 listed there.
