When I say "Live Chat" I mean a chat console designed to be used by website customer service representatives...not a chatroom platform. The best thing I've been able to find on Sourceforge is something called Crafty Syntax. This open source program offers great functionality but is difficult to customize and fails to quickly determine when a chat client has logged off. I'm going to have to adapt this thing (Crafty Syntax) to my site and I swear it looks like it was written by a 12 year old. Just mapping the thing is going to take hours.
