ksmatthews
Hi THere, :'( I have an update form that displays all current selections to the user. Displaying text in edit boxes is easy but how do you show a previous selection in a select object ? Here is some code ... <select name = "allow"> <option value="<?php echo $dataset['allow']; ?>" name="value" selected = "selected" ><?php echo $dataset['allow']; ?></option> <option value='G711ulaw' name='value'>G711ulaw</option> <option value='G711alaw' name='value'>G711alaw</option> <option value='ADPCM' name='value'>ADPCM</option> </select> The first option will retrieve the previous selection BUT it also adds another option (a duplicate) to the drop down box ! Assuming that my options are static, how can the matching option be found and displayed to the user ? regards, Steven Matthews Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/70860-updating-a-drop-down-box/ Share on other sites
